Tradfest is an annual event celebrating traditional rock climbing in Snowdonia. It is based in the village of Nant Peris at the foot of the Llanberis Pass, one of the most iconic areas in Britain for rock climbing. This year's event will be held from Friday May 17th to Sunday May 19th, with ticket costs to be confirmed.
The format for the event is based around its ethos of celebrating rock climbing. Running from the Friday evening until the Sunday there will be a bar and barbecue, talks, quizzes, TradQuest, workshops, gear demos and information stands!
Based in the Llanberis Pass you will be within 5 minutes of some of the most classic trad routes ever put up. Within an hour's drive or walk you have access to Cloggy, Lliwedd, the Ogwen Valley, the Carneddau, Tremadog, the Moelwyns and the mighty Gogarth, to mention just a few areas. Snowdonia and it's surrounding environs are bountiful when it comes to rock climbing, so if you fancy a great weekend away, exploring some of Britain's most iconic routes in a relaxed atmosphere, with like minded people grab yourself a ticket now.
